Listen to music with your friends


The music is certainly one of the best ways to have a good time with friends. Whether aconsultation with a group or a road trip with your best friend can listen to music togetheris always nice. What if you could listen to music with your friends without you in the same location?
 
Facebook now offers a new way to listen to music with friends, allowing you to listen to what your friends are listening at the same time. You can also listen in groups while a friend is the DJ.
 
You can hear the same song at the same time, and therefore enjoy the best momentstogether, like listening all at the same concert.
 
How does it work?
 
Music note that appears in the sidebar that shows your friends are listening to music. Tolisten together, just hover over their name and click on Listen. This will be the service that your friend uses that will be used.
 
You can discover new artists or new music with your friend.


You can also discuss what you hear. Others may also join you. 

Your settings let you control who can listen along with you.

Twitter Suspends UberTwitter for Policy Violations



Twitter suspends UberTwitter and other UberMedia apps.

If you’ve been lately using UberTwitter (a popular Blackberry Twitter client) or Twidroyd (another Twitterclient for Android phones), then you might have experienced problems logging in to your account. The reason why? It’s because Twitter began blocking third-party twitter clients which violated their policies.

UberMedia, which currently owns UberTwitter, Twidroyd, and newly-acquired Tweetdeck, was accused of privacy and monetization violations as well as Trademark infringement for using the “Tweet” term in their developed applications.

Carolyn Penner, Twitter’s spokeswoman further explained:

We ask all developers in Twitter ecosystem to abide by a simple set of rules that are in the interests of our users, as well as the health and vitality of the platform as a whole.

We often take actions to enforce these rules; in fact, on an average day we turn off more than one hundred services that violate our API rules of the road. This keeps theecosystem fair for everyone.

Today we suspended several applications, including UberTwitter, twidroyd and UberCurrent, which have violated Twitter policies and trademarks in a variety of ways. These violations include, but aren’t limited to, a privacy issue with private Direct Messages longer than 140 characters, trademark infringement, and changing the content of users’ Tweets in order to make money.

We’ve had conversations with UberMedia, the developer of these applications, about policy violations since April 2010, when they first launched under the name TweetUp – a term commonly used by Twitter users and a trademark violation. We continue to be in contact with UberMedia and hope that they will bring the suspended applications into compliance with our policies soon.

On the other hand, UberMedia is still on the process of sorting things out to comply with Twitter’s demand of policy compliance. As an assurance, Bill Gross, owner of UberMedia, even posted in his twitter account: UberTwitter & Twidroyd users: We have made the changes Twitter requested. As soon as Twitter reactivates, you will be live again. Thx!

While waiting for UberTwitter and Twidroyd to be live again, Twitter encourages users to trydownloading Twitter for Blackberry, Twitter for Android and other official Twitter applications instead. You can download it here.  Moreover, users can try Twitter’s mobile web site (mobile.twitter.com).

Macbook Pro Specs Updated: but Same Price

Have you visited the Apple website lately and noticed the updated specs of Macbook products? It's been quite a while since we got an update regardingMacbook Pro laptops but before ending the month of October 2011, Apple made a silent Macbook specsupdate on their official website showing improved specs but for the same price as the old ones. 

Although the update made no changes on Macbook's physical unibody design (which I think is already unnecessary because of its superb, neat and slick design), Macbook's hardware updates yet pushes it to another level - now with faster CPU (using Intel's i5 and i7 dual-core processors), improved graphic chips (AMD Radeon HD 6770M), and bigger storage capacity (from 500GB to 750GB).

Here are some of the noticeable updates:
1. MacBook Pro (13-inch version) now comes with either a 2.4 GHz Core i5 or a 2.8 GHZ Core i7 CPU, both dual-core.
2. MacBook Pro (15-inch version) can now have either a 2.2 GHz i7 or a 2.4 GHz i7 CPU, both quad-core, upgradable to 2.5 GHz i7 quad core CPU.
3. MacBook Pro (17-inch version) now have a 2.4 GHz i7 quad core CPU, upgradable to 2.5 GHz i7 quad core CPU
4. Both 15-inch and 17-inch versions can now be configured with an AMDRadeon HD 6770M graphics chip

As mentioned, Macbook Pro retail prices stays the same starting from $1199 (or roughly Php 61,990) with the entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro and $2499 (or roughly Php 126,900) for the ultimate 17-inch Macbook Pro version.

All models of the refreshed MacBook Pro line are now available on Apple's official website.

Introducing redesigned Payments pages

To make the payment process easier and more flexible, we’ll soon be introducing some changes to the “Payments” and “Account settings” pages in your AdSense account. At the moment, this new payments interface is available to a small set of AdSense accounts, but we’ll gradually roll it out to more publishers in the upcoming months. When the new Payments page is enabled for your account, it’ll look like this:


Here’s a summary of the changes and added benefits of the new payments interface:

1. Redesigned Payment summary and Payment settings pages
- Payment method is now called Form of payment.
- Unpaid finalized earnings is now called Current balance.
- Redesigned transaction history table shows you the latest activities at the top.
- New toolbar support allows you to filter, print, export, or download transaction information.

2. More flexibility with your payment settings
- New extended timeline allows you to change your payment information until the 20th of any month.
- You can choose any payment threshold greater than the default payment threshold based on your reporting currency.
- You can also hold your payments until a specified date.

3. Improved navigation of the payments interface
- Centralized locations to manage your Payment settings and Payee profile.
- Contextual help is displayed based on the pages you navigate to.

This is just a first step towards providing a better payment experience, and we’ll continue to add improvements over the coming months. For additional details, please sign in to your AdSense account and visit the Payments section in our Help Center.

Improvements to AdSense reporting features


We’ve recently made a few improvements related to AdSense reporting to help you find information more quickly and to address some of the most common asks we’ve heard from you. Good things come in threes -- so here are three recent updates to look for in your account:

1. View all-time reports


When selecting a date range for your reports, you’ll now have an ‘All time’ option to view all earnings, impressions, and clicks accrued since your first impression. If you used the previous AdSense interface, you may remember this feature -- it now has a new home in the current AdSense interface as well.

2. Quickly access reports from the My ads tab

We’ve added quick links to your reports under the My ads tab, eliminating the need to search for ad units or channels in your reports. When viewing your ad units, custom channels, or URL channels on the My ads tab, just click ‘View report’ below a specific line item to view performance data for that particular ad unit or channel. This feature is particularly useful if you’re looking for channel data that isn’t linked to ad units in the interface, and will help you save time. 


3. Download CSVs in the correct local formatting

Just as the placement of commas and periods can change the meaning of sentences, the same is true when it comes to numbers and figures. As you may know, an amount written as $1,000.00 in the US or UK would be written as $1.000,00 in most of Europe and South America. Previously, only the $1,000.00 format was available for downloadable reports, which created difficulties for a number of international publishers trying to export CSVs to analyze the data. Now, based on yourlanguage preference, you can export CSVs with figures in the relevant format.
